  • Presenter(s) must agree to all Terms and Conditions for participation in NAESP’s 2012 Conference, BEST PRACTICES FOR BETTER SCHOOLS™ — The National Conference & Expo of the Year.

  • Proposals must be submitted electronically no later than Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern U.S. time.

  • Incomplete proposals will not be considered for review and will be deleted after Wednesday, September 14, 2011.

  • NAESP's 2012 Conference & Expo programming is a non-commercial forum. NAESP respects the participant's goals for professional development and objects to any discussions or suggestions implying the sale or marketing of products, programs, services, or anything else representing monetary self-interest. Expectation is that all presenters submitting a proposal understand and support this objective. Failure to comply will impact future consideration.

  • Sessions will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 22 through Saturday, March 24, 2012. Presenter(s) must be available for any day and time NAESP assigns. Exceptions for religious considerations or other scheduling conflicts will be accommodated whenever possible if they are communicated in writing in advance.

  • Up to two presenters can be listed for each proposal. Do not list presenters without a definite commitment that the co-presenter will appear on the program. It is expected that all presenters will adhere to the policies, procedures, and deadlines established. This will help ensure that all information is posted and published in a timely manner for attendees to view and that all of the presenters’ needs are met.

  • An individual may not submit or present more than three proposals.

  • The same school/organization may not appear on more than three proposals.

  • The primary person submitting each proposal will serve as the point of contact for NAESP. This person will be responsible for informing the presenter(s) of the status of the proposal, deadlines, registration fees, handouts, and all related presentation specifications.

  • Presenter substitutions must be approved by NAESP and may not be reflected in the program.

  • Presenters at NAESP's 2012 Conference, BEST PRACTICES FOR BETTER SCHOOLS™ — The National Conference & Expo of the Year are expected to use materials and language that do not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, ethnicity, religion, physical ability and/or sexual orientation.

  • NAESP does not grant honoraria or pay expenses for concurrent session presenters. The benefit of contributing your knowledge and expertise to others in the profession at a national conference leads to professional growth and development and ultimately expands leadership capacity and learning from colleagues and peers!

  • All presenters must pay the conference registration fee and have a registration badge. Up to two (2) presenters will receive a discounted registration rate of $200 (this discount is not transferable or refundable) and must register by February 3, 2012. Instructions and a specially coded presenter registration form will be provided with presentation schedule notifications.

  • No handouts will be duplicated or distributed by NAESP onsite. NAESP requires at least one handout per session to enhance the learning experience. For sessions with multiple presenters, a combined or individual handout is acceptable. Electronic copies (PDFs) of handouts will be posted online or provided in other electronic formats. Submitting a proposal indicates understanding and acceptance of this policy.

  • Whenever possible, NAESP records programming. This access allows attendees to more deeply engage in the professional development opportunities presented. All participants are required to provide NAESP with permission to record, edit, transcribe, duplicate, distribute, and reproduce any written or visual material submitted in connection with and including the oral presentation, delivered at this program, in any and all media now existing or hereafter developed, throughout the world. All presenters must grant this permission in order to be considered for participation in NAESP's educational offerings. Submitting a proposal indicates understanding and acceptance of this policy.

  • Presentations must cover the same content as described in the proposal.

  • If your proposal is selected, NAESP reserves the right to revise presentation titles, reassign the identified content area, or edit the program description for promotional and program materials.

  • By submitting a proposal for consideration for NAESP's 2012 Conference, BEST PRACTICES FOR BETTER SCHOOLS™ — The National Conference & Expo of the Year, you agree that NAESP and Lifetouch National School Studios Inc. and their successors, agents, representatives, licensees, and assigns have your permission to use any or all of the images and/or audio recordings in which you may be included, in whole, in part or together with others, without restriction as to changes or alterations. This permission allows images to be used, copied, and published locally, regionally, or nationally through any means of communication, including but not limited to video, displays, samples, print media, television, and the Internet at any place for any lawful purpose and is irrevocable. You are also waiving any and all rights to compensation for the reproduction, sale, and use of such materials.

  • NAESP will provide a lectern, one microphone, computer, LCD projector, remote control, and screen. NAESP does not provide internet or audio speakers for concurrent sessions.
